Economic forum of the municipality of Köniz at mb-microtec

Yesterday in the early evening, 15 May, the spectacular new building of mb-microtec in Niederwangen was the venue of the economic forum of the municipality of Köniz. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of mb-microtec, the manufacturer of the worldwide unique self-powered illumination technology trigalight acted as host of the regional economic platform. With the headline "Light. Time. Space.", prominent guests from business, politics and society discussed topics such as sustainability and corporate responsibility.
Yesterday, Wednesday, May 15, representatives of the regional economy met for the traditional "Könizer Wirtschaftsapéro". And what could be more suitable as an event location than the modern and unique new building of mb-microtec in Niederwangen? Inaugurated only in October 2018, the innovative headquarters stands for the latest investments of the Bern-based company in a bright future. In accordance with this, mb-microtec hosted the popular discussion platform yesterday evening, which focused on topics such as sustainability and corporate responsibility. Numerous prominent guests from business, politics and society listened with excitement to Annemarie Berlinger-Staub, President of Köniz, give an insight into the current political activities of the municipality.
mb-microtec CEO Roger Siegenthaler gave a presentation on "Illuminating the Future: From Local Understanding to Global Sustainability". He highlighted how the market leader in self-luminous light sources invests in a bright future with an innovative and sustainable entrepreneurial spirit. "It is important for us to always keep up with the times and to offer room for internal and global development," said Roger Siegenthaler. In a further sentence, the CEO explained exactly what the company's further development should look like and that new business areas will be added in the coming years.
The aim of the "Könizer Wirtschaftsapéro" to enable an exchange between regional players in a relaxed atmosphere was definitely achieved yesterday: "We were very pleased to host this inspiring event and to exchange ideas with other companies in the area", says CEO Roger Siegenthaler.
